In September 2011, Aspire launched a partnership with The Prince’s Trust with the vision to unite the freight and logistics sector in support of more disadvantaged young people, by increasing their skills, opening up employment opportunities and creating a networking forum for the ‘Delivering Futures for Young People’ initiative.
The Prince’s Trust – a proven track record
Since 2002, The Prince’s Trust has worked to form strategic national partnerships with business sectors across the UK, in sectors where there are opportunities not only to fund its work, but also to explore opportunities for entry level employment for our young people. These strategic alliances can address skills shortages within sectors and provide an excellent united approach to corporate social responsibility. Partnerships with companies in the logistics and freight sectors can help fund work, but also offer support in training and creating chances for the young people the Prince’s Trust seeks to help. This complements the work the Trust is undertaking across the whole of the transport sector.
Aspire and The Prince’s Trust
Aspire was established to provide support to qualifying individuals who want to develop and progress their career in logistics, transport and the supply chain.
The Prince’s Trust is committed to working within the sector to open it up to disadvantaged young people across theUK. Opening up training and employment opportunities within the sector will enable the Trust to build on the already significant impact of 78% of young people supported by The Trust moving on to education, employment and further training.
